Hello and welcome to the bookish world of a beebliophile!
I’m Bee (get the pun? Bibliophile? Sorry) and I am an avid reader and writer. I’m guessing if you’re reading this you’re interested as to what will be happening on my blog and who I am, so I will briefly summarise those.
Who am I?
I am a 17 year old English girl whose natural habitat is the local library. I like cats and books and authors and Greek mythology. I study classical civilisation, English and economics, but don’t worry I don’t read many economics related books!
What will be happening?
I should first clarify that I mean what will be happening on this blog. I can’t tell you what will be happening in the world, since at the moment it seems rather like disastrous chaos, but if you want to hide away and talk about books you have come to the right place.
I will be writing book reviews that are short, mainly due to the fact I find long ones rather tiring to read when I could be spending the time reading something else. I will also be talking about other bookish things like my favourite books and authors, libraries and bookshops, and writing a novel amongst other things. (By other things I mean things I have not thought up yet, but will hopefully come to me in due course.)
My most commonly read genres are fantasy and young adult, but I also dabble in nonfiction, historical fiction, poetry, general fiction, science fiction, crime and the occasional thriller. I am passionate about body positivity, mental health, LGBTQ rights, feminism and Greek mythology, so they’ll be sure to pop up.
And finally who is this blog for? Anyone who can read basically. Anyone who wants to read or write, or just talk about how pretty books are. It doesn’t matter how much you read, or how fast, just that you love books and want to talk and read about them!
I think that’s it for me, before you fall asleep or are put off by my rambling about myself, so I hope you enjoy my blog and books as much as I do! Feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions or if you just want to rave about books. That’s cool too.
Not interested in longer posts? I have Twitter which I’m frequently on, and even the occasional Instagram post so go check them out!
